Leisure Centre – Current Status: OPEN – “Roadmap Out of Lock Down” from 22nd February 2021

Covid-19 Policy.

We intend to comply fully with the Government Guidelines to the best of our ability to make the Leisure Centre site Covid-19 secure.

Main Hall

 

All Fitness, Exercise and Dance classes can resume from 17th May 2021.

Hall Functions can resume from the 17th May 2021, but some restrictions on numbers will still apply.

All class organisers are also being asked to complete and return the Hall Hirers Questionnaire.

We will work with Class Organisers to help them complete risk assessments and understand the Covid-19 safety precautions at the Centre.

 

Squash

 

Squash is now available to book.

All Resident Squash Players are being asked to complete and return the Squash Questionnaire to the Centre before they can return to playing squash at Herne Farm.

Before hiring courts, players will need to confirm that they have read and understand our risk assessment and the England Squash return to play guidance.

Swimming (Resident Only)

Swimming is now available.

All Swimmers (Resident Only) are required to complete and return a Swimming Questionnaire to the Centre before they are allowed to use the Pool at Herne Farm.

Swimmers will need to book a session, and to confirm that they have read and understand our risk assessment and the Swim England guidance for users.

  • 25th July 2020Government Announcement from this date that “indoor gyms, pools and leisure centres” can re-open provided it is safe to do so.

  • 14th September 2020 – Main Hall re-opens to Exercise Classes, mornings only.
  • 30th October 2020Government Announcement for a ‘National Lock Down in England’ for one month from Midnight on Wednesday 4th November until the 2nd December 2020.
  • 5th November 2020National Lock Down 2 – Centre Closed.

  • 3rd December 2020 Tier 2 – High Alert Restrictions Apply.
  • 14th December 2020 Squash Open to Residents on Court 1 Only.
  • 26th December 2020 Tier 4 – Stay at Home Restrictions Apply.
  • 5th January 2021 National Lock Down 3 – Centre Closed.

  • 19th April 2021 – Hall re-opens for Children’s Dance Classes.

  • 15th June 2021 – Roadmap Out of Lock Down 21st June 2021,    (Extended 4 weeks to 19th July 2021, Restrictions still apply).
